Questions on using PhotonShow:
Themes:
Why do some themes have a lock symbol next to them?
Different versions of PhotonShow include different selections of
themes. Some themes may require an additional purchase. To purchase
and unlock a theme, click the "purchase theme" button
to go to the iZotope web site.
Can I modify themes or make my own?
PhotonShow themes are specially designed Macromedia Flash files,
and can not be modified directly. If you are proficient with Macromedia
Flash though and would like to work with iZotope to create additional
theme packs, please email us at photonshow@izotope.com
Cameras:
I'm having trouble downloading photos directly from my camera
If your camera uses USB to connect to your computer, chances are
it shows up as a "removable drive". When creating a PhotonShow,
on step 3, look for a removable drive under the "My Computer"
folder. Many cameras store pictures in a folder called "DCIM"
so look for that after clicking the plus next to the removable drive.
PhotonShow also supports cameras which connect to the computer using
TWAIN. You can acquire images from these cameras by clicking the
"camera" button on step 3. This will allow you to save
photos on your hard drive so you can use them to make PhotonShows.
Sound:
How can I use songs from my CD collection in PhotonShows,
or audio in formats other than MP3 or wave?
Utilities
that allow you to convert between audio formats and transfer songs
from audio CDs to your PC can be found here
Making CDs:
I'm having problems burning a CD from PhotonShow
PhotonShow directly supports dozens of CD burners, but given the
variety of models and standards for supporting them it's possible
that PhotonShow doesn't directly support your burner. Even still,
PhotonShow can help you make CDs of your PhotonShows. Instead of
writing the CD contents directly to a CD, you can write the contents
to an "image file" and use the software that came with
your CD burner to write the image file to a CD.
Instructions
for creating CDs, even if PhotonShow doesn't support your burner
directly, can be found here
Sharing on the Web:
Can I post PhotonShows on my own web site, in addition to
iZotope's service?
Absolutely. In the PhotonShow help file you'll find information
on posting shows to your own web site under the topic entitled "Creating
your own HTML Pages of PhotonShows". You can open the
help file by clicking the "question mark" button in the
upper right corner of the PhotonShow screen.
Some people aren't able to view the show I've published.
They need to have the Macromedia Flash 5 Player or higher
installed to view shows. This is preinstalled on many operating
systems, or can be downloaded from this location:

Pocket PC
I'm having trouble seeing PhotonShows on my Pocket PC. All
I see is a blank screen or similar.
1) Go to the Options screen and select the Pocket PC button. With
your Pocket PC turned on and connected to your desktop PC,
click the "uninstall from Pocket PC" button. Now click
the "reinstall to Pocket PC" button.
2) Be sure that you have a Flash 5 player or higher installed
on your Pocket PC. Go to this URL to get a Flash player for your
Pocket PC.

Sending PhotonShows to other mobile devices:
If I have a device such as a phone that supports the Flash
player, can I put PhotonShows on it for viewing?
Chances are that if the device can play Macromedia Flash movies
it can play PhotonShows as well. In the PhotonShow help file
you'll find information under the topic entitled "Sending PhotonShows
to Other Devices". You can open the help file by clicking the
"question mark" button in the upper right corner of the
PhotonShow screen.
Miscellaneous
PhotonShow makes use of a modified version of the mpg123 library
by Michael Hipp. You can download the source here.
