PhotonShows are specifically designed to be easy to share on the
web. There are two ways to put your shows on the web.
1) Use PhotonShow and host your shows on iZotope's site using our
optional service. You
can learn more about this option here
or
2) Host your PhotonShows on your own web site. This page provides
information on how put your PhotonShows on your own web site using
a few different methods.
Note: We assume that you know how to transfer files to your web
site. If you are not sure how to do this, please check your ISP's
support pages for directions.
| The manual method -- editing HTML |
MyShow.html (1KB)
right-click and choose "Save as..." to download this file
For this method, all you need is Window's Notepad. You will be
modifying the MyShow.html file to point to your PhotonShow file.
The example assumes that both the HTML file and the PhotonShow SWF
file are in the same directory.
- Download MyShow.html from above.
- Copy your PhotonShow from "C:\Program Files\iZotope\PhotonShow
Desktop Edition\My PhotonShows"* to the same directory that
you downloaded MyShow.html. (The filename should be almost the
same as the title you gave the show inside of the application.)
- Open MyShow.html using Windows' Notepad.
- Replace the two occurrences of "TripToMars.swf" with
the filename of your PhotonShow and save the file.
You can now transfer the HTML page and the SWF file to your web
server, and they are ready to view.
Note that you can also modify the Width and Height tags to change
the size of the show as it is displayed on the page.
*If you have changed your PhotonShows directory, you can find it
by typing control-O to open the options dialog and clicking "folders"
from the left. Your current PhotonShows folder should be visible
under "my photonshows folder".
If you create your web pages with Microsoft FrontPage, there is
a FrontPage add-in called Flasher from http://www.jimcoaddins.com/
that makes it even easier to put a Flash movie (PhotonShow) on your
web page. You simply select the show you want to place on the page
and configure the display properties using the Flasher add-in.
It's also easy to put a Flash movie on a web page using Macromedia
Dreamweaver. From the Dreamweaver Insert menu, choose Insert-Media-Flash.
Select the Flash movie (PhotonShow) you want to put on our web
page and configure the display properties from within Dreamweaver.
